As a look back at the past year, here is a sampling of what I was up to. Toronto is the proud home of many beautifully designed spaces. Some of these award-winning designs span the sectors from retail, corporate, residential, to public spaces and product design. I am honoured to craft photography artistically in our community. Best wishes for 2018 and may the year bring you success and bliss abundant!
As a look back on the past year, here is a sampling of what I was up to in 2016. Toronto is the proud home of many beautifully designed spaces and I am honoured to take part in capturing it artistically. In retail, there was a host of major department stores including Simons, Nordstrom, and Holt Renfrew anchoring large mall expansions as well as the cute Penguin Shop Toronto pointing to retail trends. Residential and Workplace sectors continue to push forward adapting to new trends of office and living styles.
2016 was a busy year indeed and along the way I contributed to a couple of design industry charity work. I started to broaden my capability with video to serve client needs better. I am also flattered and honoured to be top of the list on 10 Pinterest Boards for Workplace Design named by ChargeSpot. Please check out my Pinterest and YouTube Channel. Best wishes for 2017 and may the year bring you success and joy abundant!
A fun little throwback to 2014 with the R and e-module cloud. You can also see some more behind the scenes shoot tips in the zoomfinder article!
This documents the setup with e-module cloud and the 8 year old Phase One P65+ back. Finally have the opportunity to upgrade to IQ3 60 this year and catch up with modern features. I still miss the work horse P back in some ways, it is solid and stands as an industrial design history piece :-)

Welcome the new horsie to our life as well as my first car photography project!
After driving our super basic Corolla for 14 years this is such a treat, driving is now fun again and this MINI knows how to put a smile on everyone face!
Here is a photography related non-photography entry. My favourite lens is now immortalized permanently as a ring.

Some behind the scenes design process: it did involve photography with macro reproduction. I first photographed the lens at varied angles to overcome cylindrical deformation. I then pieced together the artwork into a flat shape in photoshop before taking it into illustrator to vectorize, clean up, create the depth of field lines and compose the final art for the production file.
The ring is made by my talented and creative friend and fellow OCA classmate Shannon at Cynosure Jewelry Design Studio.

Happy Shooting, everyone!
As a look back at the past year, here is a sampling of what I was up to. The year was filled with an interesting mix of captures for varied spaces from epic scale corporate towers to intimate retail and residential spaces. On the portrait side, a couple of fashion editorial environmental portrait projects provided opportunities to play with both space and figures. For fine art, I held a solo exhibition presenting the Day Dream series in the summer.
