Simons Square One
La Maison Simons opened its first store in Ontario at the Square One Shopping Centre earlier in the spring. Ontarians can finally experience exciting and fun Simons stores along with the rest of Canada. Customers can now shop its fashion-forward and unique selections in person that cater to wide range of needs. Designed by figure3 and Lemay Michaud, fun design features include deconstructed loom with yarns can be experienced at the young girl's department twik. MAISON BIRKS at Sherway Gardens
Brand new Maison Birks designed by Ædifica featuring Chandelier by Lumenpulse. The bold and clever storefront plays with the diamond motif and incorporates a luxurious angled wood archway that make shoppers do a double-take as they approach. The expanse of circular clear storefront reveals various zones and vendor areas creating an open view compared to the traditionally concealed jewelry stores. Faceted and layered frit pattern on the glazing make the entire store look like a sparkly gem stone.
Inside the archway, customers are greeted with the shimmering chandelier that hovers above the central display atop the custom mosaic patterned tiles. Throughout the store, displays and fixtures juxtapose wood against white and chrome details along with custom wallpaper and frames that convey the BIRKS heritage altogether creating a modernized environment that caters to the new generation.
massimo dutti yorkdale
The posh Spanish-retailer Massimo Dutti opened their second Canadian flagship at Yorkdale Shopping Centre last fall. The double-storey atrium provides the opportunity to feature architectural façade in an interior environment. The store design features traditional paneling and columns architecturally and a warm rich wood with bronze interior which compliments their classic brand beautifully.
Visit the big brother to Zara when you are at Yorkdale next - they offer design lines to satisfy the inner fashionista and sartorialist instincts indeed!
